Hibernation, time for Hibernation

We started the day by looking at animals that hibernate and where they hibernate. I prepared some A3 sheets a few days ago with pictures of a cave, a tree, some logs, a pond and some muddy burrows stuck to them. The challenge for the girls was to figure out where their printed animals would spend the cold winter months! They loved this activity and loved the book we read however, by the end of the activity Sylvie had put so much snow on her picture, (cotton wool) that it was impossible to see ANY animals!!!

After this we did some letter tile sorting then had a go at some Peter and Jane copy work. By the end of these activities Sylvie had had enough!!! She did really, really well.
